The basic mechanics at work in Little Town Hero s fighting is to use ideas to overcome your enemies. Each idea works a bit like a card in a game like Magic: The Gathering or Hearthstone. Some have values of attack and defense and remain available as long as they have defense, while others seem to act as spells, exercising their effect and disappearing. Like the equipment most RPGs, you can improve your ideas to make them more powerful. Ideas appear in your hand under the name of Izzits and you must use a certain amount of your limited energy resource to transform them into usable dazzits. You will need to use your ideas to break all the ideas of your opponents (by decreasing their defense) in order to defeat them. .
In Little Town Hero, you are not always obliged to fight alone. The villagers live in different places of the map, and if you fight in a place where villagers are present, they could fight at your side. There are also objects called Gimmicks placed around the card that can be used in combat. The video shows a cannon that you can shoot on enemies, for example.
