The Xbox version of Finish Fantasy XIV was confirmed years ago by Phil Spencer. However, there has been to the wireless silence. Director Yoshida has expressed itself in our interview.
This is the situation around the Xbox version: Talks about a possible Xbox version of Final Fantasy XIV has existed for years. On a conference of the X019 the boss of Xbox, Phil Spencer, confirmed that the MMORPG will appear on its consoles:
[...] You can be sure that we will bring the game [FFXIV] to the Xbox.
However, since the statement has already been 2 years since it has given new information to a possible release on the Xbox.
That said Yoshida: During the Press Tour to the new Addon Endwalker we were able to ask from Meinmmo to the director Naoki Yoshida some questions. This included a brief question about the Xbox version at the end of the interview.
Yoshida reacted surprisingly laughing and answered:
So honestly, that s the number 1. Question I can not answer at the moment. We are still talking to Microsoft and they are what this is concerned, very productive and helpful. That s why I do not want the players lose their hope.
Please, does not lose hope [on an Xbox version]. If there are good news, we will definitely share you neatly with the players.

Opposite the colleagues of Gamingbolt.com he confirmed the statement again. There is a lot about which he wants to talk about the Xbox version, but not, so Yoshida. But he is sure that the time will come.
So fans can be sure that the Xbox version of the MMORPG has not been forgotten or tacitly canceled.

What could mean that? Long-time fans of FFXIV know that big changes in the MMORPG often only very slow happen. So there is a revision of the jobs or completely new systems almost exclusively every 2 years to addon release.
The FFXIV team works according to a very knitted timetable to regularly deliver new content for the MMORPG and incidentally to work on innovations such as graphic upgrades for the PS5. It is therefore not surprising that even the already announced Xbox version can be maintained.
Yoshida said in January 2021 compared to VG24 / 7:
DA We are currently employed with the development of endwalkers and prepare the PS5 version, which follows the title service on the PS4, we would be pleased if we can come back to the Xbox version as soon as everything has recorded!
The PS5 version has been published since the already published and the release of endwalker is on 23 November. The FFXIV team works on the last adjustments and refinements.
It now seems to be a good time to officially announce the Xbox version. For example, during the next producer stream to EndWalker, which will take place before the release in November.
